It is an approximately 20-minute scenic walk along the waterfront Quai des États-Unis to reach Nice Old Town (Vieux Nice) and the famous Promenade des Anglais. Due to its size, many large cruise ships anchor in the Bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer and transfer passengers via tender boats. These tenders may arrive at either the Port of Nice or directly into Villefranche-sur-Mer, from which it is a short train or bus ride to Nice. Taxis and public buses are readily available from the port area for those who prefer not to walk.
