The Gibraltar Cruise Terminal is conveniently located on the western side of the territory, at the North Mole. It is approximately a 1-mile (1.6 km) walk to Casemates Square, the main entry point to the city center and Main Street. The walk is flat and takes about 15-20 minutes.
For those who prefer not to walk, taxis are readily available at the terminal. Many cruise lines also offer shuttle bus services to the town center for a small fee. Ships dock directly at the pier, so tendering is not required.

The official currency is the Gibraltar Pound (GIP), which is pegged one-to-one with the British Pound Sterling (GBP). British Pounds are accepted everywhere and are interchangeable with local notes and coins.
