Since the commercial port is distant from the center, reliance on cruise shuttles or pre-booked taxis is common for getting into town. Once in the city center, the area is compact and easily walkable, allowing visitors to reach most local museums and the waterfront on foot. There is a local bus network, but schedules may be infrequent for short-term visitors, making arranged tours the most efficient option.
