The cruise port in Pula is ideally situated right at the edge of the city's historic center. Most ships dock at a dedicated pier, from which the famous Pula Arena (Pula Amphitheatre) is clearly visible and only a 10-15 minute walk away.
Because of this prime location, shuttle buses are typically not required to explore the main attractions. The waterfront promenade, known as the Riva, is adjacent to the port area and is lined with cafes and restaurants. While the immediate pier area is industrial, the transition to the vibrant city center is seamless and quick.
