Many of Shenzhen's most popular attractions are within easy reach of the Shekou port. A top destination is the Window of the World, a fascinating theme park with over 130 miniature replicas of global landmarks, located just a 20-30 minute taxi ride away. Adjacent to it is the Splendid China Folk Village, which offers a deep dive into the diverse cultures and history of China's various ethnic groups. For a more relaxed experience, the nearby Shekou Sea World complex provides a wide array of international restaurants, cafes, and shops built around a former luxury liner. For breathtaking city views, consider a trip to the observation deck of the Kingkey 100 (KK100) skyscraper, though it is further away in the Futian district, about a 45-minute drive.

Shekou's prime location makes it an excellent base for exploring the wider region. The most popular day trip is to Hong Kong, which is just a one-hour high-speed ferry ride away from the Shekou Ferry Terminal, located right next to the cruise port. You can spend the day exploring Hong Kong's iconic skyline, vibrant markets, and world-class dining.
